Hatha Flow Yoga
Hatha yoga is an old system of yoga that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
Hatha flow is relatively gentle, with some slower moves and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold poses longer and synchronizing the breath with the movement. This does not mean it is easy but has more instruction and more variations in the poses Holding the poses still has a cardio effect and gets your energy flowing.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of modern yoga with asanas that are held for longer periods of time —roughly between two to five minutes, or more.
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
This is a 75 minute Yin Class where you can relax and unwind and go deep into your practice.

Yin + Yang with Yoga Nidra
This class will start off with the Yang – Power flow, which is a vigorous vinyasa-style yoga for 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of Yin. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style in which poses are held for two - minutes or longer. Even though it is passive, yin yoga can be quite challenging due to the long holds, particularly if your body is not used to it. The purpose is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissue - the tendons, fascia and ligaments - with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. This is then followed by 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra. In this section of the class you will be guided through a detailed “sleep” meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation. It is the greatest way to end your evening enabling you to have the best night’s sleep!

Silat Cimande
Silat Cimande is a fighting system from Java in Indonesia. It is characterised by smooth and very quick movements.
Cimande as taught here at Authentic-East comprises 16 basic body shapes from which everything else is derived, so as systems go it is quite small. Effective application is therefore correspondingly quick to achieve, mastery however can take a lifetime. The joy and achievement of practice is found in the journey, not in the end result. Consequently, traditional Cimande as taught here, is a system of self improvement above all else. The nature of training will ensure you get a good cardio vascular workout, and help you develop explosive strength.

Silek Tuo
Silek Tuo is probably the oldest Silat style in existence. It hails from the Minangkabau people in Western Sumatra and is as yet untouched by western commercialism. It is therefore quite original and uniquely different from other martial art systems found in the west.
It’s also a way of life, a philosophy, a health system both for yourself and others, and it is a self protection system. It is built around a single principle of listening to your body and finding answers within, and it’s coming to Authentic-East.
Anyone can do it.It will make you more agile, more in tune and aware, and more confident, and it will keep you safe.
