Hatha Flow Yoga

Hatha yoga is an old system of yoga that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. BEGINNERS WELCOME!

Lunch Hour Flow

Make the most of your lunch break! Enjoy an invigorating midday yoga class to keep you going all day long. This class is just like our Vinyasa classes, but designed to get you in and out, and back to your desk, kids, errands, and other daily activities (with a clear mind and strong body!).

Beginner’s Flow

Never practiced yoga or just getting used to yoga? If you want a gentle way to learn more about yoga, this class is for you! In a safe and relaxing atmosphere, students will learn the benefits of yoga, incorporating basic yoga asana (postures), proper yogic breathing, and relaxation techniques that suit the benefits of you!

Vinyasa Flow

In this Vinyasa Flow class you will essentially synchronize breath with movement. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a mindful rapid flow through sun salutations and other sequences.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of modern yoga with asanas that are held for longer periods of time —roughly between two to five minutes, or more.  BEGINNERS WELOME !

All Levels Flow

A gentle class focusing on flowing from pose to pose and linking the movement with the breath providing challenging variations for more advanced students, yet fun and non-intimidating options for newer students. BEGINNERS WELCOME!

Yin + Yang
with Yoga Nidra

This class will start off with the Yang – Power flow, which is a vigorous vinyasa-style yoga for 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of Yin. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style in which poses are held for two – minutes or longer.

Guided Healing Meditation

Meditation is one of the best tools we have to balance our emotions, deal with physical and psychological distress, and promote the peace of the present moment. But it can be tough to meditate without a teacher or guide. Enter guided meditations.

Silat Cimande

Silat Cimande is a fighting system from Java in Indonesia. It is characterised by smooth and very quick movements.

Cimande as taught here at Authentic-East comprises 16 basic body shapes from which everything else is derived, so as systems go it is quite small. Effective application is therefore correspondingly quick to achieve, mastery however can take a lifetime. The joy and achievement of practice is found in the journey, not in the end result. Consequently, traditional Cimande as taught here, is a system of self improvement above all else.   The nature of training will ensure you get a good cardio vascular workout, and help you develop explosive strength.

Silek Tuo

Silek Tuo is probably the oldest Silat style in existence. It hails from the Minangkabau people in Western Sumatra and is as yet untouched by western commercialism. It is therefore quite original and uniquely different from other martial art systems found in the west.

It’s also a way of life, a philosophy, a health system both for yourself and others, and it is a self protection system. It is built around a single principle of listening to your body and finding answers within, and it’s coming to Authentic-East.

Anyone can do it.It will make you more agile, more in tune and aware, and more confident, and it will keep you safe.

The Eight Limbs Of yoga

The Authentic-East Studio is here to offer education and practice of all the eight limbs of yoga, not just the asanas (postures) in true traditional style honoring the origins from which Yoga came.

Restraints, moral disciplines or moral vows (through how we operate our studio and education during our classes/workshops/training).

Positive duties or observances (through how we operate our studio and education during our classes/workshops/training).

Postures (of course! In our group and private classes).

Breathing techniques (in our group, private and meditation classes as well as in workshops/training).

Sense withdrawal (in our group, private and more in-depth in our meditation classes as well as in workshops/training).

Focused concentration (in our group, private and more in-depth in our meditation classes as well as in workshops/training).

Meditative absorption (in our group, private and more in-depth in our meditation classes as well as in workshops/training).

Bliss or enlightenment (which we are trying to achieve through all of the above practices).

All of our teachers are well versed in all of these yogic practices and can help you discover your true self, your higher self by deepening your practice and exploring your mind in your meditative state during classes, workshops and/or our training offerings. We believe yoga is for EVERYBODY so we are very happy and truly honored when a new student comes in to begin their journey with us.
